There isn't a whole lot left of the whale that lies smashed on the ground in this location. Apparently the whole scene is a joke related to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Lying near the mess are some Daisies that you can snatch for yourself, though they don't seem to serve any purpose elsewhere in the game.
