1 - Collapsed Stairs
When you descend into the catacombs, the stairs will collapse behind you, preventing you from climbing back out. However, you can still use your teleporter pyramids, and you can still go to the battlefield, so the collapsed staircase isn’t much of a restriction.
2 - Raan
Raan will appear to you and tell you to never attack an unarmed creature. By sheer coincidence, an unarmed soldier and a pair of shadow creatures will appear, but, as far as we can tell, you’ll get the exact same result whether you kill the soldier or not. That is, Raan will tell you that you’ve understood the lesson regardless of what you do.
3 - Lever
The lever unlocks the door at #4.

The lever unlocks the door at #6.
6 - Locked Door
7 - Lever
The lever unlocks the door at #8.
8 - Locked Door
9 - Battlefield Key
On the ground you’ll find the (level 6) battlefield magical key.
Exits:
A. Stairs between levels 1 and 2.
B. Stairs down to level 3.
