Commentary:

Acts as an identify scroll. If you find this, it is recommended to equip it as you can then sell off all your identify scrolls and won't have to worry about lugging them around anymore. The cost for each identify is dirt cheap in terms of mana, and you'll save a lot of money over the course of the game, and won't have to worry any more about IDing something in the middle of the dungeon.
