Background

You'll receive this quest when you help thwart Whoreson Junior's assassination attempt against Cleaver, the King of Beggars, and Sigi Reuven during the quest Get Junior.


Walkthrough

Cleaver will be so incensed about the assassination attempt that he'll want revenge right away -- so much so, in fact, that he'll offer to help you find Junior even though he doesn't like you very much. Cleaver will then leave for his headquarters (#1), and if you follow him there, then Cleaver will offer you the services of his men. This will give you a quicker but less discrete way to search for Junior during the quest Get Junior.

Note: You'll only be able to reach Cleaver's headquarters from the south. If you see some of Cleaver's henchdwarves around, then you'll know you're on the right path.

At the arena (#2) and gambling hall (#4), you'll meet some of Cleaver's henchdwarves nearby (#3, #5). If you talk to them before searching the locations, then they'll begin following you, and you'll automatically attack all of Junior's forces that you encounter. You can also ignore them and handle the locations on your own.

There are three ways that the quest can play out:

• If you don't use Cleaver's men at either location, then Cleaver won't pay you anything, but you'll earn 200 xp.
  
  
• If you use Cleaver's men at only one of the locations, then Cleaver will only give you half the reward -- 150 gp -- and you'll also earn 50 xp.
  
  
• If you use Cleaver's men at both locations, then Cleaver will give you the full reward -- 300 gp -- and you'll also earn 50 xp.

Note: You'll need to complete this quest before reaching Vernon Roche's contact during the quest Get Junior. If you don't, then the quest will fail.
