VideoGamer gives it an 8/10:
But fans unprepared to shell out any money will, other than missing out, be happy to know that this doesn't put a neat and tidy bow on the whole Shadow Broker storyline. It plays with the characters, teases a few conclusions and ultimately leaves you left wanting more. It might not be too cheap at 800 Microsoft Points, but it's an exciting and cinematic ride while it lasts.
NXT Gamer gives it a 9/10:
Coming in at 800 Microsoft Points, and with 5 new achievements, this DLC is most definitely a worthy download for any fan of the series. Considering that this does have the potential to be game-changing (literally) in Mass Effect 3, it's a shame that Bioware didn't decide to release this over the Cerberus Network or simply as free, to allow more people to enjoy it; however, if buying this helps fund even more great content in the future, I'm not complaining. If you buy one piece of downloadable content this year so far, buy Lair of the Shadow Broker. You will not be disappointed.

People constantly, and rightly, weigh the cost of DLC against its length. In comparison to a game that took me 42 hours to complete, a few more hours for 10$ doesn't quite add up. On the other hand, I have spent $60 on games shorter than this $10 DLC. It all depends on your priorities. If you loved Mass Effect 2 and want to keep up to speed on how the story unfolds as we approach Mass Effect 3, get a new outlook on some of the series past events and characters, and experience a few more hours of the world we have all come to love, Lair of the Shadow Broker is as close to essential DLC as it gets.

Back when I was playing Fallout 3 almost constantly, I would end a review for a DLC I felt was something the masses wouldn't love with a "This is for the fans, so skip it if you're a casual Fallout 3 player" message. With Lair of the Shadow Broker, I'd say skip it unless you buy a GOTY edition of ME2 that includes the DLC, because it's just not worth buying.
And Rogue Earth gives it a 3/5:
If you like Liara and want more Mass Effect then this is a no brainer, however the action does seems a bit brief to dust off your old copy of Mass Effect 2. This add-on really feels like it should have been part of the game and not DLC, for that reason it does not stand too well on its own. But in the end I enjoyed it, and I guess that's all the counts.
