Risen 2 Announced, Sacred 3 Confirmed

They haven't issued a press release or anything yet, but during their GamesCom press conference, Deep Silver apparently announced Risen 2 while also confirming last year's news that development of Sacred 3 is underway. Deep Silver brand manager Daniel Oberlerchner even offered the following reassurance on the World of Risen forums:
As we have just confirmed at the press conference for the fans: Piranha Bytes and Deep Silver working on Risen 2.
