DoubleBear to Attend PAX

If you're planning to attend PAX you might want to leave a hole in your schedule for one of the three panels that ZRPG developers Brian and Annie Mitsoda are speaking at.
Annie
Friday, 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM, Wolfman Theatre
Making Stories Worth Playing

Annie and others discuss narrative tips and tricks to make players feel connected to the inhabitants of virtual worlds.

Annie/Brian
Friday, 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Wolfman Theatre
Beyond Pen & Paper: RPGs, Videogames, and the Mainstream

Come and see both of us discuss the RPG and all attempts to figure out what makes a game one and why classic RPG mechanics have become a part of most games these days. Now, I'm not really trying to hype our appearance, but we just happen to have talked a certain Mr. Tim Cain into appearing on this panel, so I highly suggest you get in line early for this one.

This may also be the first time a husband and wife were on the same panel in PAX history, or at least we were too lazy to find out if this was true.

Brian
Friday, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM, Serpent Theatre
Going Indie

This one's for the fans of indie games and the brave/foolish developers out there who are thinking of making the transition into indie development. If you have questions about DoubleBear or any of the other companies representing on the panel (including our former colleague Ron Alpert, now of Headcase Games, who put out 180, which you should check out if you have an iPhone) come to this one.

Of course, we will be happy to answer questions about ZRPG or whatever if you come and find us after the panel's end. We're very excited and it's always nice to meet with folks that have been eagerly anticipating our game. Or if you just need recommendations for local breweries, we can do that too.

All this exposure - it's almost like we're up to something...
I do hope they're up to something.
