There are some MMOs that don't require much time investment, Star Trek Online being the best of the bunch in terms of time. You don't miss much ever. They do have 3 events per year which award a free ship and pretty continually events that require you to do the "raids" and eventually give you a free store ship. In any case, you don't need any of them to just play the missions, decent storyline in the game as well. The Winter event, which just ended is maybe the best, skate around a rink 20 times, take maybe 6 minutes total and get a free ship. The Summer is also great, fly around a few places 20 times (once per day), and get a free ship, and I do like the flying, but that takes...eh about 8 minutes. The Anniversary is easily the worst, have to go to 3 different places in the galaxy, mostly in the Beta quadrant, to scan an anomaly, this can take 20 or so minutes.Like I said though, you don't need anything really, as you play through the game you get free ships that will carry you through, buy some cheap upgrades on the exchange and you are good to go.
