Triss Merigold is a young, very comely but also highly talented and ambitious sorceress. As well, as all sorcerers and sorceresses, took long training and teachings in Aretuz mages' university. Triss is a member of a secret Lodge conspiracy of sorceresses, whose goal is, a trifle really, to rule the world and control the magic, which is too powerful to leave in males' hands.
