Greed: Black Border Reviews

Based on the latest two reviews, Clockstone's Greed: Black Border doesn't appear to be winning over a whole lot of action RPG fans.

The Armchair Empire gives it a 4.0/10:
The degree of challenge is wildly inconsistent. Some parts are a cakewalk, some are a teeth grinding slog. The array of enemies is lackluster and uninspiring. The storyline, much like the characters, has all the life and vigor of a wet noodle. The end result is a game that is deadly dull. For any dungeon crawl, it's the worst sort of sin imaginable.

It's always a possibility that a game can be worse than a previously established low water mark. I've played it so you don't have to.

While The Adrenaline Vault gives it a 2/5:
Overall, I'd say it's probably best to keep away from Greed: Black Border. Not because of its stability (I didn't crash once), its looks or its price ($20). No, you'd do best to sit this one out because it's just not a very fun game. Besides, you're darn tootin' you'll see another crawler (or 50) like this riding the clone train from now until the great RPG reckoning of 2011.
