Majesty 2: Kingmaker Preview

IGN had the opportunity to spend some time with Paradox's Majesty 2: Kingmaker expansion pack while attending the company's recent press convention in Sweden. It sounds like this won't be the only addon we'll be seeing for the game:
The territory that you'll fight across also seems to be much more dangerous than ever before. In fact, we were shown everything from extremely hazardous desert areas to volcanic landscapes that constantly erupted in fire. There were even strange jack-o-lantern shrubs and bushes, making the environment seem like a threat to your heroes. However, even though it seemed like hope was lost, it did appear as though your characters have gained new magic. Mages appear to be able to lob new ice spells, and warriors can swing in circles to chop through enemies.

Kingmaker may be the first expansion for the game, but it's only one piece of expanded content the developers have planned. We were told that Kingmaker will provide a new map editor and randomizer for free to expand on the adventures through the lands of Ardania. The pack will also gain a new in-game store in an update that will provide free items that can be added to the map editor as well.
