Unconfirmed: Jagged Alliance 3 Cancelled

GameStar.de brings word that Akella's Anton Komarov has confirmed that they're no longer working on Jagged Alliance 3, effectively putting the strategy/RPG hybrid in limbo. It's possible that publisher Strategy First is already working with another development studio, but at this point in time, I think it's safe to say that the title's future looks grim. Per Google Translate:
Russian developer Akella is no longer working on the tactics game Jagged Alliance 3. "Akella is working on Jagged Alliance 3 Strategy First no longer together," explained the spokesman Anton Komarov Akella on demand. The publisher Strategy First, therefore continue to hold the rights to the brand Jagged Alliance, Akella is the third part, however enwickeln not. This had already been signed off in advance, as Jagged Alliance 3 1. Quarter was postponed in 2010, only to then disappear completely from the list of release of Akella. Whether Jagged Alliance 3 is now taken over by another developer, is still unclear.
Thanks, Blue's News.
