IGN has put together another one of their quarterly game-profiling features, this time spelling out what's to like about the PC, Xbox 360, PS3, and other platform-specific games due out this fall. Aion, Borderlands, Demon's Souls, Dragon Age: Origins, and Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition scored mentions, though Alpha Protocol, Risen, and Divinity II were all overlooked. On DA:O:
What It Is: BioWare has established itself as one of the cornerstones of the western role-playing game effort, pumping out one hit after another, but after a successful fling with sci-fi in Mass Effect, BioWare is dipping back into familiar fantasy territory with Dragon Age.

Why It's Hot: The developers have made it clear that they're harkening back to their original run on the Baldur's Gate series when creating this new fantasy universe, and given their track record at creating massive, epic role-playing adventures, there's plenty of reasons to get excited about the birth of a brand new series.
