Daggerfall vs. Oblivion in World Size

G4 has done a few calculations with the help of Bethesda's Pete Hines and determined that the now-free Daggerfall sports a 62-square mile map whereas Oblivion only spanned 16 square miles.
I checked in with Bethesda to do a little math. Here's how it breaks down, but keep in mind these numbers are approximations, not exact calculations:

- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion -- 16 square miles
- The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind -- 6 square miles
- The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall -- 62 square miles

Bethesda wasn't able to come up with the milage for The Elder Scrolls: Arena, the first game. The numbers, as Bethesda pointed out to me, can be a bit misleading, though. For example: much of Daggerfall's content was randomly generated.
Translation: it's a big game.
