Mytheon Interview

IGN was able to arrange a quick interview with True Games' Peter Cesario and Petroglyph's Chris Rubyor about their strategy/action/RPG amalgamation, Mytheon.
IGN: This seems to be Petroglyph's dive into the online persistent game realm. Any thoughts to the state of the industry and what you guys can bring to the table?

Chris Rubyor: For the past few years, Petroglyph has been observing the shift from boxed PC products to digital downloads and content on demand. From our perspective this was a positive change for the platform, especially if PC gaming is to thrive. For us as a developer, it also meant we had to adapt. We knew that if we were to enter the online arena filled with an endless sea of MMOG's and MMORPG's, we had to design something different. Mytheon is that "something different" for Petroglyph.

What can Petroglyph bring to the table? We believe a fresh perspective. Mytheon takes the best elements of action and strategy and infuses them with light RPG elements. This combination allows us to create a unique blend of tactical game-play with a familiar feel that action and RPG gamers will ease right into. We also feel collecting power stones, the core component of tactical combat, and the immersive environments will help to keep players vested in the game.
