Fallout 3 Point Lookout DLC Reviews

Two more Point Lookout reviews are now available, just in case you're holding out on purchasing the latest Fallout 3 addon.

VideoGamer gives it an 8/10:
On the whole, there's very little to complain about with Point Lookout. The new game world looks great, and the omnipresent vegetation is a real change from the barren rock and destroyed highways that we're used to. At times the frame rate seemed to take a bit of a hit, but this issue never became serious enough to affect gameplay - the action was just a bit less smooth than usual. There's a good five hours of gameplay on offer here, more if you take the time to see everything, and the quality of the main quests is beyond dispute. If you're a Fallout fan with 800 points to spare, there's really no reason not to pick this up. Rockstar may lead the industry when it comes to expansive DLC, but Bethesda is surely close behind.

While Eurogamer also gives it an 8/10:
Each and every part of Point Lookout is both challenging and interesting, and you come away with the impression that Bethesda's quality control has tightened up over the course of the year. As a whole, Point Lookout hangs together better than any previous Fallout 3 DLC pack, and as such comes highly recommended - yes, even for those of you who have grown weary of endless wasteland scavenging and VATS combat. With this release proving how entertaining a "mini expansion" can be, hopes are now riding high that next month's Mothership Zeta episode can continue the good work.
