Unlike the blind ashbeasts, who avoid the light of day, ogres prefer life in the upper world, where they are primarily found in barren, remote mountain regions.
The primitive, yet powerful weapons of the ogres are too large for a human to be able to swing them, and the first blow is usually deadly. Ogres are more or less intelligent; there are even rumors that some speak the human tongue. Again and again, there have been attempts to "tame" these muscular, simple-minded giants like domestic animals, which usually ended in a bloodbath.
However, sometimes they were successful , and so today the occasional ogre is found in human settlements, working as a guard or doing heavy work. Another way of binding an ogre to you is the (life debt), which obligates an ogre to serve a human.
