Fallout 3 Broken Steel DLC Reviews

Although Bethesda didn't have much to show the RPG crowd at this year's E3, reviews of their Broken Steel add-on for Fallout 3 continue to populate the web.

First up is AceGamez with a score of 8/10:
Some players might find themselves a bit miffed that the end of the game was essentially changed - or removed, rather, considering it now has no definite ending - but the fairly large amount of extra content added, as well as the overall change of mood throughout the Wasteland and the replay value presented, should be enough to keep gamers satisfied after dropping a mere 800 points. If you've not tried out any of the expansions yet, I personally recommend downloading Broken Steel, thus increasing the level cap, then taking on Anchorage and The Pitt as to make sure you get your experience points for those quests as well as bringing any new gear you find to the Broken Steel campaign. Easily the most robust offering yet, and though the locations don't change drastically, the story, perks and new quests should leave any Wastelander satisfied.

Then we have GameOver Online with a score of 80%:
The bottom line here is that Broken Steel is more Fallout 3, and if you're a fan that can't possibly be a bad thing. Like with the other DLC, the story will probably only take you a few hours to go through and then you're left with the goodies. The weapons are decent, the enemies mostly annoying, and the perks borderline useless, but.jacking the level cap up to 30 is a godsend, making Broken Steel and absolute must buy for any dedicated wasteland wanderer. For those less hard core, your mileage may vary.

And finishing things off is BeefJack with a score of 9.1/10:
Broken Steel isn't perfect, but it is more Fallout 3 and has most of the things that made it great. If you had a great time with Fallout 3, you'll love this. Depending on not just your enjoyment, but your time with Fallout 3 will impact how much you enjoy Broken Steel. If you've done everything, everywhere before finishing the game you may be fatigued with the game as I had become. Make no mistake though, Fallout 3 was the best RPG release of last year, and Broken Steel is an extension of that experience.
