Sacred 2: Fallen Angel Reviews

Another handful of pretty favorable reviews for the newly released console versions of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel have graced the web.

The first is at PSU with a score of 7.0/10:
Sacred 2: Fallen Angel is rough around the edges, but it's still an extremely addictive action RPG. In a genre where console gamers currently have a limited choice, it's a solid entry to the PS3's software library. Be warned before you do rush out and get it, though: Sacred 2 is a game for hack '˜n slash, dungeon-crawling enthusiasts only. Others may tire very quickly of doing the same actions over and over again and find that the steep learning curve is a little too much to bear. Ultimately, while the overall Sacred 2 experience may not always be flawless, the good certainly outweighs the bad.

The second is at Loot Ninja with a score of 3/5:
So what this all comes down to is how much do you miss Diablo? This may not be the best clone to come out, but it's one of the better ones to be sure. If you're someone who wants an involving game with some bang for the buck that will chew up lots of time, than this is for you. Pick up a copy of Sacred 2 and say goodbye to friends and family for the next few months. You will be missed. Probably. Maybe.

The third is at VGBlogger with a score of "Buy It":
Sacred 2 is pure gaming crack. PC, PS3, Xbox 360. It doesn't matter what your platform of choice is, Sacred 2 is the cream of the action-RPG crop.

The fourth is at GameDaily with a score of 7/10:
The central game takes a back seat to a typical repetitive quest structure (fetch this, kill that), but vast character customization in both loot and stat improvement, as well as the thrill of exploring new areas, keeps things fresh. This despite gorgeous visuals that suffer from pop-in, stilted animation and various glitches, and audio that lacks pizzazz. The artificial intelligence, too, feels broken in some combat instances. Play at your own pace and forgive the technical quirks, though, and you'll appreciate this game for what it is.

And the fifth is at Gaming Age with a score of "A":
All together, Sacred 2: Fallen Angel is a fantastic console experience and it comes highly recommended. It does have flaws, and some strange graphical bugs that pop up from time to time, but despite all that I look forward to playing the game for months to come, and I think 360 and PS3 owners should absolutely plan on either playing, or picking up, this action RPG. If you were ever a fan of Diablo style games, then this will be right up your alley, and even if you're new to the experience, I'd say it's well worth the asking price to try it out, there's nothing else on current consoles that's quite like it.
