Blizzard Acquires Redneck Rampage

File this one under the absolutely bizarre: following rumors that Blizzard is working on a fifth, unannounced title, IncGamers reports that the company has picked up the Redneck Rampage license. As you may or may not already know, Redneck Rampage is a light-hearted shooter franchise that some Blizzard staff members have worked on in the past.
The Redneck Rampage trademark was then subsequently acquired by Vivendi Universal in July 2004 and the latest trademark notices for Redneck Rampage, which are listed as 'active', show that Blizzard Entertainment has now secured the rights to Redneck Rampage.

The three trademarks that have been secured by Blizzard include Redneck Rampage (released 1997), Redneck Rampage Rides Again (released 1998) and Redneck Rampage Suckin' Grits on Route 66 (released 1998).
If this is indeed Blizzard's fifth title, we won't be following it. First-person shooters aren't our field, though it'd sure be a fresh turn of events for the company.
