With the first big patch and upcoming raid dungeon Ulduar on the horizon for Wrath of the Lich King, it may seem a bit of a surprise to name C'thun as one of the most badass WoW boss fights. However, despite how many other great encounters came after (take any boss in Naxxramas, for example), the Old God remains one of the last great fights in pre-expansion Azeroth, requiring crazy coordination, patience, and skill from 40 people at once. C'thun has two phases: Throughout the first, you have to avoid a killer eye beam and fight off randomly spawning claws. The latter phase has him nigh invincible until randomly selected combatants can destroy tentacles in his poisonous stomach and temporarily lowering his shield. The video probably doesn't look like much (like many WoW battles, the UI looks terribly cluttered, and battle itself just looks like a bunch of people running around) but trust that when you're actually involved, the fight is a hectic, skill-testing fight for all 17 of its glorious minutes.
