Runic Games Site Update, Job Opening

After months of inactivity, Runic Games' official website is now sporting "a little update" revealing that the former Mythos developers are looking to add a few more people to their team.
Hello everyone! A quick update from us - but primarily, a job posting!

Work is continuing apace here at Runic, and we're all very excited about how things are shaping up. We've reached a point now where we're ready to add a few key people to our team! We are keen to find a great environment artist right now to be a part of the development process here. Someone who is an excellent modeler AND texturer. Maybe that's you-

Are you interested in working in a small-team environment where you know everyone, where you can be closely involved in the development process, and where you aren't buried under several layers of management? Do you want to have opportunities to contribute outside the position you were hired for? Are you a fantastic artist, comfortable with a fast process and happy working in an environment where excellence is expected of everyone? Are you already in, or willing to relocate to, the Seattle metropolitan area?

Are you interested in fast-tracking this, and skipping the whole blindly-sent-email-and-response process?

We're going to try something a little different this time out. Below you'll find one of our concept sheets for several props we're building. Take a look, observe the texture style and overall structure of these props. We're aiming for a very handmade, watercolor-influenced texture style with these, and irregular structure with a lot of bulk.

Here's what we'd like to see - a treasure chest, openable ( that means it has an interior ), done in this style. We use 3dsmax 2009 (although previous versions should be OK). Polygon count should target approximately 180-200 triangles . One 256x256 diffuse texture is desired ( no specmaps, no normal maps ). Your original PSD is a bonus. Please no retextures from another game! The texture and mesh should be your original work. This is probably a couple of hours worth of time.

Shoot it our way in a .zip or .rar file to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., along with a resume and any portfolio materials that are pertinent.

Of course, you can also send a resume without this, and we'll definitely take a look - your portfolio may be fantastic. But if your portfolio doesn't include work that makes it obvious that this sort of work and style is something you're comfortable with, it sure couldn't hurt to take 2 hours and put this together.

We're anxious to add some new talent to our team - thanks for listening-

Sincerely,

Runic
Was that concept art there last time I looked? I forget.
