Spiderweb Software has released a v1.0.1 patch for the Windows version of Geneforge 5: Overthrow, which apparently helps to improve the game's performance on older PCs. The short notes:

'¢ A Play In Fast Graphics Mode option is not available on the opening Resolution Selection window. If the game has been running slowly for you, select this check box when you launch the game.
'¢ The Resolution Selection window will now function properly on machines that only support 16-bit color.
'¢ Steps have been taken to prevent rare freezes during cutscenes in the demo.
