One of the defining qualities of the Champions RPG that's making its way to the MMO is the wide range of possible power combinations. If you can think of a power combination that you'd like to have, chances are you can make it work in Champions Online. Naturally, the team is designing character creation so that players are protected from creating weak or ineffective combinations but there's nothing to stop you from ignoring the suggested themes and power groupings and going off with your own ideas. Even if you make selections that leave you woefully underpowered in a certain area, there are plenty of unique items and boosts you can obtain that will help compensate for your choices.
