Cyclopean Writing Sample

Scott from the Cyclopean team let us know that he's posted a "Dream of the Witch Hunters" writing sample to the official Iron Tower forums. The sample is particularly interesting because it's broken down into different sections, depending on what action/dialogue the player chooses. An example:
[flee]
Branches and thorns lash your face as you scramble panicked from the carnage. The path is nowhere to be seen and the woods are thick, but after much stumbling and cursing, you pause, exhausted and put a hand to one ear. You hear nothing. It seems that whoever won the battle did not deem you worthy of pursuit.

As your heart slows to a steady and regular beat and you begin to more calmly assess your situation, a huge black bird breaks from the foliage directly overhead with a raucous croak, making straight west with all speed. For reasons you do not understand, this is more terrifying than anything else you have witnessed.

You wake.
[result: lose 2 permanent Sanity]

[assist witch]
Seeing at once that Enos is the most determined of the men, and the most at ease with his blade, you grab up a hefty stone. As he circles into position while his men flank their beautiful opponent, you club him from behind. One of his men stares at the limp form of his master as if witnessing his own demise, which indeed follows in the next instant. The last man drops his weapon and bolts into the woods with a decidedly feminine shriek.

The creature turns panting to you and at last wipes a thick rope of saliva her slack lips. Mistaking your instinct to flee as something else, she says, (Nay, leave him go. You are cowardly, but you may yet be of use to the Dark Mother. Now sleep, my urchin, sleeeep.)

You wake.
