GameSpy's Most Wanted Games of 2009

GameSpy has made an entire week out of listing their most anticipated games this year, and while they won't be done with the feature until tomorrow, the RPG section is at least finished. Dragon Age: Origins, Star Wars: The Old Republic, BioShock 2, Demigod, Diablo III, Alpha Protocol, and King's Bounty: Armored Princess all scored a mention:
f you haven't yet picked up on the wonder that is King's Bounty, you're not alone. Katauri interactive's brilliant updating of the New World Computing strategy/RPG hybrid flew under a lot of people's radars in 2008. You'll have a chance to remedy that with Armored Princess, the game's new expansion pack. This time around, players will play as Princess Amelie, a fresh character with new abilities who will be exploring a new land with new quests, new monsters and a new race called the Pangolin to interact with. There will also be new gameplay dynamics such as medals, achievements, contract killing and headhunting. With her on her journey are a horse that can upgraded to a pegasus and a baby dragon that can grow into an incredibly powerful ally. What hopefully hasn't changed is the incredible strategic depth married with a solid and enjoyable RPG meta-game.
