World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King NPD Numbers

According to the always-inaccurate NPD, North American retail sales of World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King hit 1.4 million units over November.
While Gears of War 2 led console software sales in the last night’s November NPD, house analyst Anita Frazier did make one mention of a PC game - Wrath of the Lich King did quite well at retail in the US last month.

"We would be remiss not to point out the strength of PC game sales this month as lead by the release of the latest World of Warcraft expansion pack," she said.

"Wrath of the Lich King sold over 1.4 million units in the US during its debut month at retail."
Remember this is 1.4 million estimate in retail only. Blizzard already noted the game broke 2.8 million in its first 24 hours.

Unsurprisingly, neither of the two October RPGs (Fable II and Fallout 3) make the Wii-dominated console top chart.
