Australian website Gameplayer has conjured up the first online review of World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, giving Blizzard's newly released expansion pack a score of 9.5/10.
Wrath of the Lich King is everything Burning Crusade should have been and more. Blizzard learnt a lot with BC and has made a whole lot of very large changes to the way the game will be played in the coming years. It's brilliant, inspired and will easily secure their supremacy as the leader in the MMOPRG market. We had a few issues with it but they were fairly minor in the grand scheme of things. We were tempted to talk about the recent changes to the classes and Blizzards ongoing futile attempts to balance them out but that's a discussion for an entirely different article and really, this review is definitely long enough as is.
If you are playing WoW at the moment, there's no point in us telling you to go out and buy this expansion as you probably have it on pre-order already, however, if you've left the fold and are thinking of coming back, you will not be disappointed. That being said, you've successfully reclaimed your life and broken the addiction so run, be free while you still can.
