Fallout 3 Reviews

If you're in the mood to read several more Fallout 3 reviews, we've got plenty for you to pore over. SciFi.com weighs in with a "B+":
Ultimately, players' enjoyment of the game will likely be a function of the baggage they bring to the game. Those hoping for a faithful, third-person-perspective port of the earlier Fallout games will be disappointed, while Oblivion fans hoping for another 100+ hour marathon may walk way criticizing the lack of depth. Those somewhere in the middle of those two extremes, or those who are new to the franchise, will find it offers an engrossing trek through a radioactive wasteland.

GamingShogun doesn't give a score:
Overall, this is a very worthy game of the Fallout title. Bethsoft has created what is probably their best product since Daggerfall, and that is saying a lot considering the gems they have produced in between the two titles. Fallout 3 will provide you with hours upon hours of entertainment as well as bring back fond memories of playing the first two games (look for homages to them throughout the game).

Gameplanet hands it a 9.5/10:
Fallout 3 is a game that lives up to its demanding legacy, and that is saying a lot. Fallout fans should definitely give it a go, and the uninitiated are in for a treat. For me it'll be the game of the year.

And Entertainment Weekly goes with an "A":
some first-person-shooter purists are bound to think that all the wandering around and chatting with people would kill the momentum, and that the role-playing elements (having to eat, improving your skills, etc.) make things overly complicated. Others might also feel that the optional Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System which lets you pinpoint specific body parts and fire automatically (though not always effectively) is a bit of a cheat. But for fans of such trigger-happy action-adventure titles as Mass Effect or anyone who wished Oblivion IV lacked any adrenaline rush Fallout 3 offers an epic and engaging adventure that would even bring a smile to Mad Max's face.
