Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Review

As the dust settles of the Warhammer Online landings, Game Chronicles reviews to see how the MMO is shaping up now, giving it a 9.0.
Warhammer Online is shaping up to be a successful competitor in a genre that is still dominated by World of Warcraft. In my mind, this shows that the MMOG market is finally starting to grow beyond WOW and a few niche games. Then again, I saw the same thing happen a decade ago, as excellent RTS series such as Age of Empires and Command & Conquer found mass appeal alongside Warcraft and Starcraft.

Warhammer Online does not offer many revolutionary new features, but it does offer a game that's fun and accessible. Whether you enjoy fighting other players, socializing in public quests, or exploring the world for another Tome unlock, Warhammer is an accommodating game for many different playing styles. The gameplay is well polished, and Mythic clearly cares about the needs of their player base.
