World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Interview

The folks at UGO Games Blog had the chance to conduct an interview with World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King lead level designer Cory Stockton during this weekend's BlizzCon event.
UGO: Any plans to open this up for consoles?

CS: I think consoles are something that Blizzard has obviously been interested in in the past. And a game like WoW, right now, it's so custom for PC. I think it's something that we'd always want to look at. We don't have current plans to put it on consoles, but some of the people at work are console gamers, so I think it's something that we always think about and always look at. If we put it on console, how would we do this? How would we do that? It's definitely something that we look at on all of our titles, especially when they're coming through development. Would this work good on a console? The thing is that WoW has been on PC for so long now. We've built it so much for PC, I have no doubt that it probably could be translated. It's just a very, very difficult task. But I'm right with you. I play so many console games on my couch with a 50) plasma. (laughs) It's so comfortable, you know? I totally see where you're coming from.
