During the course of the epic quest line, which comprises three full books' worth of content, players will venture into the depths of the Mines to confront entirely new types of Rogs in a six-player instance. As you wind your way deeper and deeper into the red-hot caverns beneath the Misty Mountains, you'll come face to face with the Nameless Ones Tolkien referred to, like Snarling Overseers, and Globsnaga Trolls. (For the sake of convenience, the team at Turbine decided to give them names after all.)
Your path eventually ends in front of a pair of Rogs guarding a massive doorway. These Rogs fight you in tag-team style, one preferring to battle up close while the other takes shots from a distance. As you fight them, massive void pits will open beneath your feet and deal tremendous damage to anyone standing nearby. As the battlefield grows more and more cramped, eventually the two Rogs will join together to battle against you. If you can outlast them, the pits will seal up and the doorway will open.
