Depths of Peril Reviews, Beta Patch Released

Soldak Entertainment's Steven Peeler dropped us an email alerting us to two new reviews of Depths of Peril, as well as the release of a v1.013 beta patch for the game. The first review is at Inside Mac Games, where the game scored a 7.75/10:
There is a whole lot to like from Depths of Peril. The game is challenging, has great depth and there is always something to do. That is the RPG trifecta. Again though, the game is intimidating, especially for green gamers. However, give this game a closer look. It abides well with established gameplay and introduces new elements to involve you into the game. I know I must be forgetting a few things worth mentioning, but that is part of the joy of the game, because seriously, no two games could play the same. Part of the joy is discovering for yourself. How many games have claimed that and delivered? To fans of the genre, this is definitely a perilous journey worth taking.

And the second is at Your Local Guardian with a score of 7/10:
Overall, Depths of Peril is defiantly worth a try, graphics and learning curve aside, the game offers plenty of depth and the diplomatic aspect of the game gives it a lot more punch than other RPGs on the market at the moment. However, it is definitely not for the RPG beginner and don't expect a game to rival the likes of Oblivion in looks and depth.
