Sacred 2: Fallen Angel Blog Update

Sacred 2: Fallen Angel visual artist Daniel Lieske discusses concept art, illustration, and screen layout in a new entry to the game's blog on IGN.
In Sacred 2 we used a lot of illustrations to support the fantasy atmosphere of the game. There are lavish background pictures and ornaments for the menu windows, which for example illustrate the different aspects of the fighting skills. I designed a detailed coat of arms for every character class. Over time we also created dozens of flag motifs for the separate factions within the game, which bestows a unique cultural character on each of the different tribes and races of Ancaria. My biggest illustration for the game was the panorama of the countryside, it's about 2.5 screens wide and is the background of the main menu. I put a lot of time and sweat into its creation.

To go along with it, a new "Castle Battle" trailer has been added to IGN's media section.
