The Last Remnant Interview

TeamXbox was able to catch up with Square Enix's Hiroshi Takai, Nobuyuki Ueda, Yusuke Naora, and Kai Gushima in an effort to learn more about The Last Remnant.
When you say it's (an RPG for the world,) what is the meaning?

Square Enix: It's a PR thing. [everyone laughs] For this game, unlike the other Square Enix games, we were concentrating on creating a product that's appealing worldwide from the very, very beginning of the project. That's what we mean by that.

...

How much interaction can we expect in combat, how fast paced it is...things like that?

Square Enix: It's a turn-based RPG, so there is a pause to.after you give a command, there is a battle that's being triggered by the program, but you don't just sit back and watch the battle. You have action interaction, even after you give a command.
