The main edition in Wrath of the Lich King will be the new continent Northrend, which is a icy, forested and mountainous land similar to the great nation of Canada (though it appears the inhabitants are not as nice). Even though the new landmass is way up north, we are told by the developers that not all regions' players encounter will be icy and snow. Some in fact shall be quite tropical as has been seen in the Sholazar Basin region. The overall geography of the new areas encompasses a terrain that is similar in size to the Outland zones and it should be noted that flying mounts will be available but not at first. You have to level up a bit before you can get back on your trusty steeds.
Speaking of mounts, players will now also have the ability to obtain mounts that can carry more than one person. An interesting development to say the least, especially with lower levels, being able to get a ride from some kind friends with a mount. One thing that is for sure, Northrend will not be short on new available instances and raid dungeons.
