Spike TV has announced the nominations for their 2007 Video Game Awards, with Mass Effect, BioShock, The Lord of the Rings Online, and Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords all winding up on the list. The fact that they didn't include The Witcher or Mask of the Betrayer on their "Best RPG" list doesn't give them a whole lot of credit in my opinion, though. Regardless, here's a quick breakdown of which categories each title is nominated for:

Mass Effect - Game of the Year, Best Xbox 360 Game, Best Original Score, Best Graphics, and Best RPG

BioShock - Game of the Year, Best Xbox 360 Game, Best PC Game, Best Soundtrack, Best Original Score, Studio of the Year (2K Games), Best Graphics, and Best Shooter

The Lord of the Rings Online - Best Game Based on a Movie or TV Show

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords - Best Handheld Game
