In the Hellgate: London storyline, the Cabalists walk a fine line between good and evil, using demonic knowledge, equipment and power in their fight. Some Cabalists even transform their features to resemble the demons they study, adding leathery skin and bony protrusions to themselves. Arcane, dark, a bit weird and misunderstood, the Cabalists try to understand the demonic invaders rather than just obliterate them.
