Tabula Rasa Previews

GameSpy, IGN, and GamersInfo have all published new previews of Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa. An excerpt from GameSpy's two-pager:
As soon as you start playing, it should be obvious how different Tabula Rasa is from any other rival in the MMORPGs arena. The game looks and plays like an action game, letting you move around and attack people with just one click of the left mouse button, just like your favorite shooter. (You can even perform finishing moves to get rid of your enemies!) Before screaming about Lord British betraying his traditional genre, however, it's worth noting that the game takes into account all the rules and stats that populate any RPG.

A paragraph from IGN's tiny blurb:
This late game ability requires the use of a number of specific Logos symbols to transmute the Spy's appearance to that of one of his or her many enemies. Once the power is unlocked, the Spy has the ability to turn into a general rank and file unit but as the power is upgraded, the Spy can take on the form of more and more powerful units.

And a short clip from GamersInfo's article:
Instead of creating a ton of random characters, Tabula Rasa will give you the chance to clone your character at different points in the game. When you clone your character, the new character is an exact copy at that point in time. This allows you to explore every branch of the skill tree without having to start over again from the beginning. You can also assign your skill points again so each clone serves as something of a respec for your character. All of your characters can share a footlocker, so you can pass items and weapons back and forth as needed.
