The Lord of the Rings Online Review

Shacknews is the latest website to take a closer look at Turbine's The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar. There's no overall score, but the review is quite positive throughout:
Aside from many cookie cutter quests and the occasional glitch, I have really enjoyed my time in the virtual Middle-earth. The main storyline is fantastic, a real pleasure to experience, but one that is occasionally cramped by the more standard tasks found in any MMO. The world is massive and fun to explore, and Tolkien fans are sure to love it, and I found the story to be far more gripping than anything World of WarCraft had to offer. Using Tolkien's world gives the game more identity than most, and much of the tedium has been taken out of level grinding with fun exploration, Traits, Deeds, and special combat techniques. The Lord of the Rings Online is currently one of the most engrossing MMOs out on the market, and a welcome respite from the rapidly tiring World of Warcraft.
