Although Oblivion's playability hasn't been improved, Shivering Isles storytelling and artistry simply soar beyond anything else the Elder Scrolls team has done. The focus on one storyline wouldn't be enough to carry a full Elder Scrolls title, but this is a superlative effort for an expansion.

Shivering Isles is an impressive expansion for what was already an expansive game. It delivers more of what made Oblivion great: creative quests, a huge land to explore, and tons of things to do there, making this expansion is a solid purchase for anyone who was a fan of the core game.

With content like this, it's no wonder that Oblivion is one of the best games of all time and continues to get better. If you're a fan of Elder Scrolls IV, you HAVE to get this game.

The Shivering Isles is, by far, one of the best of The Elder Scrolls IV expansions and another reason you'll be spending even more time exploring this massive world.
