World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Reviews

A few more reviews of Blizzard's World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade expansion pack have recently surfaced on the web. The first is at Game Industry News with an overall score of 5/5:
If you are a fan of WOW then you'll definitely want to buy the expansion. I'm going to say that Burning Crusade is fantastic and a perfect expansion for Blizzard's uber-successful MMORPG. I can't wait until the next expansion comes out... hopefully soon!

The second is at Computer Games Romania with an overall score of 92/100:
Many of us, myself included, expected TBC to bring something... let's say something special, if not a new game that uses the Warcraft elements we all love so much. But TBC is an expansion, therefore not a self supporting product, an extraordinary add-on but nothing more. In the end, even with the new continent, with all the new PvP objectives, even with the new skills or with the new flying mount, the bored players of the 60th level, standing idle in the main cities to get into all kind of instances, will be replaced by the same type of players, but this time at level 70. Blizzard introduced the heroic mode for some instances, content for the less hard core players, the arena and many other elements, but they're just not enough to avoid that... lack of purpose pushed to the limits.

And the third is at Jolt Online Gaming with an overall score of 8.9/10:
Ultimately it goes without saying that if you're serious about playing World of Warcraft then buying the Burning Crusade is a no-brainer. If you've been out of the game for a while but are looking for a reason to dust off your level 60, then this expansion will almost certainly get you hooked again at least for a while. But with no real mid-range content to speak of (hence the 8.9), there isn't a great deal to recommend about this expansion to the beginner or lower level player, other than prestige of having one of the relatively few Alliance shamans or Horde paladins on your server. As ever, though, WoW is an evolving game (we had to install a 200MB patch on day one after installing the expansion) and things are always changing in some way or another. MMOs are not for everyone, but this is certainly the closest they get and this new expansion just cements that fact.
