Vanguard: Saga of Heroes Impressions

The folks at GameSpy have written up some initial impressions of Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, now that Sigil Games' MMORPG has finally gone live.
Players who are in love with customizing their characters' equipment will undoubtedly love Vanguard's approach to itemization. Each character actually has multiple paper dolls, one for each aspect of the game. Your adventuring equipment will encompass your combat gear, of course, while you'll also have additional suits that you can wear for both harvesting and crafting. Begin harvesting a tree as a lumberjack, for instance, and your character's toolbelt and harvesting outfit will become visible. There's also a separate outfit for diplomacy, so you can put on your fanciest duds before negotiating a treaty with the local baker's guild or whatnot. The best part about all this is that these outfits that provide attribute bonuses to you during different phases of the game are all worn concurrently, and so there's no need to dig through bags in order to put on your "blacksmithing suit." You are, in effect, always wearing four different outfits, not counting your mount's gear.
