The Lord of the Rings Online Previews

Both GameSpot and IGN PC have written up new hands-on previews of Turbine's The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar. An excerpt from GameSpot's article:
After the starting level you'll be dropped into a beginning level for the first series of quests, many of which involve exploring the world, meeting new figures, and getting instructions from them. The quest system is designed so that you can easily figure out what you're supposed to do by glancing at the minimap--quest objectives are highlighted, as are quest givers. Before too long you'll level up, which means that you'll need to find an appropriate trainer to teach you new skills and abilities. However, this won't be cheap, and the more powerful the skill, the more money you'll need to learn it. Also, some skills will have level prerequisites attached to them.

And an excerpt from IGN PC's article:
While PvP was the main thrust of the demonstration, we did get a chance to sit down and play with the game a bit ourselves. We had the chance to ride around on some of the game's horses and explore one of the instanced zone quests at Weathertop. This particular quest was to provide support to a ranger looking to get to the top of the ancient place. Along the way were scattered more than just a smattering of Uruk guards. The character we were provided with was quite a bit more powerful than any of the creatures we fought against, but it's easy to see how this would require a few players to complete as the friendly ranger NPC needed to be protected the entire way up and mobs of bad guys always came in multiples.
