UGO's Guide to Werewolves

UGO has published an extensive guide to werewolves, which includes mentions of Cernd from Baldur's Gate II and the addition of lycanthropy in Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind - Bloodmoon expansion pack.
With his magical Cloak of the High Forest, Cernd the friendly werewolf druid was one of the faithful companions in the epic RPG, Baldur's Gate II. Once rescued from false imprisonment, Cernd encountered his former neighbor, Igarol, who informed him that his wife had a child. Upon returning home to greet his family, Cernd found his wife was missing and his home long empty. After tracking down his former servant, the werewolf discovered horrible news; in his absence, his wife moved in with the shifty noble Deril, and in his care she died under mysterious circumstances. Cernd hunted down the bastard, who released Cernd's son from captivity. Cernd returned to the Druid's Grove to leave the boy in the care of his people, returning to the life of an adventurer. The boy grew up bitter at Cernd for abandoning him, so he started to dabble in dark magic to lash out. Cernd, now a Grand Druid, confronted his estranged son and the two perished in a great battle with each other. A gigantic oak grew from the spot where father and son fell, which leaves turn the gravest of reds at season's change.
