Gothic 3 Reviews

A pair of new reviews for Piranha Bytes' Gothic 3 are now available, though neither one is all that favorable. The first is at Game Revolution with an overall score of "D":
So the world looks great, the people look awful, the factions aren't paying any attention, the wolves are murderous, the combat atrocious, and the music fantastic. It's as if a team of good programmers, and a team of evil programmers worked on different parts of the game and then their efforts were combined at the last minute and jammed in a box. Which is exactly the same thing I'm about to do with my Gothic III game discs.

And the second is at The Gamers' Temple with an overall score of 54%:
The potential is here for an enjoyable role-playing experience, but the game simply needs a lot more work to reach that potential. The game code should have been optimized, the bugs tracked down and fixed, and more thought put into the interface and design before the game was released. As it stands, this game is simply more frustrating than it is fun.
