Dark Messiah of Might and Magic Reviews

A couple of new reviews for Ubisoft and Arkane Studios' Dark Messiah of Might and Magic start off the holiday weekend. The first is at NZGamer with an overall score of 7.8/10:
In the end, it's kind of hard to recommend this game to everyone. There's a lot of fun to be had here, but a couple of quite major issues prevents me from heaping praise on Dark Messiah. If you don't want to risk having the game run terribly on your computer, I'd strongly advise waiting until a major patch is released to fix the stability issues that currently plague it. Of course, you might end up being one of the lucky users who can run the game just fine, and if so, you're bound to get at least some enjoyment out of this one. It's not perfect by any means, but the gameplay itself warrants a look.

And the second is at Gamezilla with an overall score of "Fans Only":
Controls are simple and mostly intuitive, with the old WASD keystrokes for movement in four directions with the left hand. With the mouse in the right hand, left-click swings your weapon, right-click parries. On the keyboard also, the space bar is jump and the F key is kick, which is useful for kicking down columns and though obstructions in passageways, not to mention for the aforementioned kicking-him-into-the-spikes. Points for spending on skills are earned through completing the missions in the games. You can spend them on combat, magic or general skills. You start the game with the basic melee skill and one spell that lets you see in the dark for a short time. Nearly everything in the world reacts to your interactions, and so can be used as weapons, including the crates and barrels lying around.
