Dark Messiah of Might and Magic Reviews

Both Voodoo Extreme and ActionTrip have written up their own reviews of Ubisoft and Arkane Studios' Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. Voodoo Extreme gave the game an overall score of 8.0/10:
In the end, Dark Messiah is a really good first-person shooter that suffers from a serious pest infestation. Another month of polish and who knows? We could've had a serious Game of the Year contender. I liked the characters, general story and multiple paths you could take. Some of the boss fights felt lacking (especially the ones that you could only kill via physics traps), but overall the puzzles and level design was enjoyable. If you haven't bought the game yet, hold off until they fully patch it up. Other than the glaring technical problems, Dark Messiah is a great fantasy themed FPS.

While ActionTrip gave the game an overall score of 68/100:
People who are familiar with Arkane's earlier projects, like the FPS RPG Arx Fatalis, might enjoy this game. However, we weren't all too thrilled with what the development team has done given the franchise's potential (the rich and thrilling Might & Magic universe). Also, things like character progression and other RPG traits have greatly been reduced and that downgrades the game even further in my book.
