Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Preview

GameSpy is offering up a new two-page preview of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, after getting some hands-on time with Mythic's MMORPG during this year's GenCon Indy.
As I continued to run around the world collecting fairly standard PvE quests, this sense of twisted humor was well-maintained. Several of the quests I got had me beating up riding wolves to show them "Who'z da boss" and collecting diseased mushrooms for a Goblin Shaman who needed them to remain psychotic enough that he could continue collapsing a cave mouth on a Dwarf who kept trying to dig his way out. My favorite quest by far, though, was running down to the beach and opening up five barrels of the hundreds that had washed over the falls and onto the beach. It seems that the local Dwarves we were battling decided to take the concept of "beachhead" literally and had sealed themselves in the barrels and thrown themselves into the falls. Three of these barrels revealed a "Waterlogged Dwarf" in what looked like a Sumo diaper, whom I had to kill. Sure, the structure of the quests wasn't terribly original, but they got 10 out of 10 for style.
