Dungeons & Dragons Online Interview

FiringSquad the opportunity to chat with Turbine executive producer James Jones about the team's plans for Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach.
Q: What can you tell us about the new modules that was released in July and the upcoming module for August?

A: The Twilight Forge is the second content module release since the launch of DDO. The story takes place in a ruined armory nestled within the caldera of a volcano. Mind Flayers are using this forge to create weapons for a war against Eberron. The player must navigate past the security system of the Twilight Forge and fight mind-controlled monsters, as well as Mind Flayers and an ancient Quori-built Warforged to put an end to the Mind Flayers' plans. Players will now have the ability to create characters based on the Drow, also known as the dark elf. New monsters from the D&D® universe have arrived in Stormreach, including the Mindflayer, Ogre Magi, and Warforged Titan. We have also updated the player experience by including an improved user interface with tools that make grouping easier and the introduction of a new in-game mail system that allows the delivery of items and messages between other players regardless of their online status. Finally, the Twilight Forge module includes a new award system that gives players bonuses for completing dungeons on all difficulty levels. We will be releasing a new story module in August and will reveal details soon.
